  • Description

  • Notes

This shrub grows 3'-5' tall and wide. Leaves are evergreen, dark green, heart-shaped with prickly teeth along the edges. Sprays of orange and pink pea-shaped flowers bloom from fall through spring. This plant prefers full to part sun with well draining, acidic soil. It looks great in containers, around rocks, in borders. It has low water needs once it's established but prefers extra water during hot periods. Pinch back after flowering period to keep it tidy.
Planting Instructions: 1. Dig a hole 2 times the width and 1 and 1/2 times the height of the container. 2. Set rootball at ground level. 3. Prepare soil mix of equal parts soil and soil amendment. 4. Backfill with amended soil. 5. Build Basin and water.
